Cultural Considerations When Working With The Deaf Community

Free Training Opportunity for Prosecutors, Law Enforcement, Victim Advocates and Allied Professionals

Members of the Deaf community face substantial barriers when they become victims of crime. Colorado’s DOVE (Deaf Overcoming Violence Through Empowerment) works with people of all ages and backgrounds who have experienced abuse. They will be sharing content on trauma-informed approaches when working with Deaf community members, cultural considerations to be aware of and best practices regarding interpretation.
