Job Description

Our district consists of the following four counties – Fremont (Canon City), Chaffee (Salida), Park (Fairplay), and Custer (Westcliffe) counties. Come enjoy the beauty of Colorado without all the traffic! 

We currently have an opening for a hybrid position in our Fairplay (Park County) Colorado office.

This role will focus on prosecuting felonies in our county court and entails courtroom involvement in contested hearings.  Applicants must have strong knowledge of legal research and drafting of legal documents. Excellent organizational and time management skills are a must.  Applicant must be proficient in case management software, with previous legal experience. This hybrid position will allow this person to work from home on non-court days.

ANNUAL SALARY: — $80,000.00 and up to $88,000.00 depending on experience.  Cost of living adjustment in some counties, plus benefits and retirement

DESCRIPTION: Practices criminal law, representing the People of the State of Colorado in criminal prosecution of cases in the 11th Judicial District.
