Job Description

The District Attorney’s Office of Boulder County is hiring an Administrative Technician.  The Administrative Technician performs a variety of non-routine and complex office duties requiring a familiarity with departmental operations and a moderate degree of independent judgement.

  1. Assists the public in person and on the phone by answering questions and providing information that requires some interpretation of policies and regulations
  2. Develops and maintains efficient filing systems
  3. Maintains, reviews, verifies, gathers, organizes and compiles data for specialized or routine reports.
  4. Schedules and maintains calendars with co-workers for back up and coverage
  5. Sorts and routes mail
  6. Prepares for and organizes reports for court dockets
  7. Maintains office supply inventory and orders supplies, when needed
  8. Operates office equipment such as personal computer, calculator, photocopier, postage meter and other related equipment
  9. Uses computer software to type and edit correspondence, reports, memos, forms and other items requiring some original composition
  10. Performs assignments using specialized computer applications
  11. Performs special projects of a complex administrative, technical or confidential nature
  12. Reviews, verifies and processes documents requiring expertise in departmental procedures, state statutes and legal forms
  13. Processes all electronic and physical media and paper discovery to defense as needed
  14. Redacts, processes, and discovers pro se discovery
  15. Maintains master excel spreadsheet for necessary work functions
  16. Enters all attorney Entry of Appearances into system
  17. Answers all discovery related questions from defendants and defense attorneys, as well as troubleshoot various forms of media
  18. Performs related work, as required
  19. May be reassigned in case of emergency situation
